Eugenio Suárez and Salvador Pérez reach MLB milestones

Venezuelan Major League Baseball players reached significant career milestones during recent games. Eugenio Suárez of the Cincinnati Reds became the seventh Venezuelan in MLB history to record 1,000 runs batted in. By driving in a run as a pinch hitter during a ninth-inning rally against the St. Louis Cardinals, Suárez also joined an elite group of Venezuelan players with at least 1,500 hits, 300 home runs, and 1,000 RBIs.

Salvador Pérez, catcher for the Kansas City Royals, achieved his 12th career season with at least 100 hits. His performance included a three-hit game against the Oakland Athletics, marking his sixth consecutive season reaching the 100-hit milestone.

In a high-scoring matchup, the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Cincinnati Reds 10-9. The game was decided in the ninth inning following a defensive error by Cincinnati's Dane Myers, which allowed the Cardinals to take the lead.
