Venezuelan business federation Fedecámaras advances economic development strategy
At the International Labour Organization conference in Geneva on 10 June 2026, Fedecámaras president Felipe Capozzolo presented a paper titled “Strategic Boost for Productive Expansion and Employment.” The proposal calls for using artificial intelligence to promote decent work, productivity and broader economic growth in Venezuela, noting emerging signs of optimism after years of hardship.
In the Venezuelan state of Táchira, municipal authorities met with Fedecámaras Táchira, the local Chamber of Liquor Sellers and other traders to discuss implementing a Special Economic Zone on the border. The meeting, attended by the governor, the mayor and Fedecámaras representatives, focused on licensing, tax compliance, security and other regulatory issues, and was described as “very productive,” aligning with the federation’s nationwide development plan.
