Venezuelan CICPC rescues three teens from trafficking plot bound for Trinidad and Tobago
Police from the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Científicas, Penales y Criminalísticas (CICPC) intercepted a trafficking operation in the La Vega parish of Caracas, rescuing three youths aged 17 to 18 who were slated for sexual exploitation abroad. The operation, led by CICPC director Douglas Rico, resulted in the arrest of three suspects – identified as Zenaida Jackeline Oropeza Marchan (41), Luis Miguel González Oropeza (21) and Luis Alberto González Oropeza (23) – who were preparing to transport the victims under false job offers to the island of Trinidad and Tobago.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing to locate and apprehend additional members of the criminal network. The case has been referred to the Public Ministry for further legal action.
