Venezuelan embassies launch Spanish course in China and commemorate Chávez birthday in Congo

The Consulate General of Venezuela in Guangzhou inaugurated an online Spanish-language course for Venezuelan children and adolescents living in Enping, Guangdong Province, China. The program, coordinated with local authorities and the language institute Fancy Spanish, marks the 52nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Venezuela and aims to preserve Spanish language and cultural ties for the Venezuelan community in the region.

In Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, the Venezuelan Embassy observed the 72nd anniversary of former President Hugo Chávez’s birth by screening the documentary “Hugo Chávez: Itinerario de un revolucionario” and hosting a bilingual Lingala‑Spanish dialogue with local clubs and community members. Participants discussed Chávez’s legacy and called for the release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.

Both events demonstrate Venezuela’s diplomatic outreach to diaspora communities through cultural and educational initiatives.
