Venezuelan government restores community centers in Maracaibo and Caracas

The municipal authorities of Maracaibo began rehabilitating the Juana de Ávila Popular Power Center, a nine‑module community complex that includes an auditorium, training rooms and civil‑registry offices. Work commenced with structural repairs, removal of damaged fixtures and fixing water‑leak problems. The project is being executed by the local corporation Juntos Todo es Posible, with mayor Giancarlo Di Martino and acting president Delcy Rodríguez overseeing the effort.

In the Sucre parish of Caracas, the District Capital’s government announced a parallel program of public‑space upgrades. Crews are clearing vegetation, repairing water and sewer lines, installing new concrete walkways and refurbishing a sports field. The initiative, presented by district chief Nahum Fernández, is also coordinated under the direction of Delcy Rodríguez and aims to improve daily life for residents of the Casalta I neighbourhood.
