Venezuelan millionaire alleges €3 million luxury property fraud in Madrid
Elita del Valle Zacarías Díaz, a Venezuelan millionaire, has accused Domingo Arnaldo Amaro Rangel of defrauding her of €3 million in connection with a luxury apartment in Madrid. The property, located on Calle Salustiano Olózaga, reportedly measures 578 square meters and includes five bedrooms and three parking spaces.
According to the complaint, the transaction began in February 2017 in Caracas. Zacarías claims she made two payments totaling €3 million—€1.4 million in October 2017 and €1.6 million in April 2018—but never received the property deeds. The complainant noted that the agreement was verbal, a decision she made due to a long-standing personal friendship with the Amaro Rangel family.
A previous criminal proceeding in Venezuela regarding this matter was dismissed. The accused family members are also noted for their connection to businessmen who previously made payments to entities associated with former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
