Venezuelan Municipal Initiatives Launch Reforestation and Veterinary Care Programs

The municipal government of Maturín began a reforestation program on Av. Libertador, planting more than 3,700 trees and palms under the direction of Mayor Ana Fuentes and Ornamental Director Mariangela Martínez. The effort is part of a broader plan to restore and beautify the avenue with both forest and ornamental species, using techniques to protect pavement structures.

In Acosta, Mayor Froylan Merentes coordinated a free veterinary outreach in La Villa, providing medical examinations, vaccinations, deworming, and advisory services for household pets and working animals. The mission aimed to improve public health by preventing zoonotic diseases and supporting rural families.

Both projects reflect local authorities' focus on environmental improvement and public‑health safety in their respective communities.
