Venezuelan opposition leaders face unity challenges in Portuguesa

Political leaders in the Portuguesa region of Venezuela are facing challenges regarding unity following a meeting between five opposition figures. The meeting aimed to address issues related to the rescue of Venezuela and the local state of Portuguesa, but highlighted existing differences among the participants.

Local figures have offered varying perspectives on the situation. Emerio Briceño described the meetings as productive but suggested that true reconciliation requires direct encounters in each of the four municipalities. He proposed involving former mayors, such as María Oropeza, and the local leadership of Vente to resolve differences openly. Meanwhile, engineer Carlos José Ojeda provided analytical commentary on the current state of political movements in the region.
