Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez Inspects San Bernardino Rebuilding Effort

Venezuelan President Delcy Rodríguez visited the San Bernardino district of Caracas to inspect rehabilitation work carried out under the Gran Misión Venezuela Renace program. The mission follows the June 24 earthquakes that damaged the north‑central region of the country. Workers dismantled damaged walls in the Elite building and are restoring the first, second and third floors so residents can return. Rodríguez reported that 186 buildings and 8,515 housing units are being rebuilt, with temporary camps for families whose homes were completely destroyed. She highlighted the participation of community councils, condominium boards and local residents in the autoconstruction process. International engineers and experts are also assisting in revising seismic construction protocols. Accompanying officials included Transport Minister Francisco Garcés, Caracas Mayor Carmen Meléndez, Government Head Nahum Fernández, Public Works Vice‑President Juan José Ramírez, and Gran Misión head Jacqueline Faria.
