Venezuelan Red Cross begins modernization of Carlos J. Bello Hospital
The Venezuelan Red Cross has launched a restoration and modernization project for the Carlos J. Bello Hospital, located in the La Candelaria parish of Caracas. Supported by Banesco, the initiative aims to improve medical care conditions at the type III health center through several key interventions.
The project includes repairing the building's facade, adapting internal spaces, and constructing a new pediatric triage area. Additionally, the works will address structural damage caused by recent seismic activity in the country.
Luis Manuel Farías, president of the Venezuelan Red Cross, stated that this modernization is part of a broader transformation process started two years ago to strengthen humanitarian response capabilities. To ensure continuity of care, the construction will be carried out progressively so that the hospital remains operational during the upgrades.
