Venezuelan universities implement infrastructure and technology upgrades

Various sectors in Venezuela are working to improve university infrastructure. In Maturín, an alliance is being promoted to rehabilitate the southern campus of the Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador (UPEL). Led by professor Cruz Guzmán Baeza, the initiative seeks to coordinate efforts between faculty, students, and civil society to address the campus's progressive deterioration. The plan includes seeking technical assistance from engineering and architecture schools and engaging with the private sector.

Meanwhile, at the Universidad del Zulia (LUZ), the university secretariat has completed new works and technological upgrades within the Faculty of Dentistry. Improvements include the equipping of the Teaching Secretariat with new technology for administrative tasks and the full restoration of the “Dra. Alexis Morón Borjas” Conference Room. Professor Marlene Primera stated that these efforts are part of a progressive plan to improve various faculty departments to ensure dignified environments for the university community.
