Venezuela's IVSS announces September pension payments

The Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS) has announced that pension payments for September 2026 will be deposited on Friday, August 21. The monthly pension amount remains fixed at 130 bolívares, which equates to approximately $0.16 or $0.17 USD based on the official Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) exchange rate.

Authorities have urged beneficiaries to use electronic banking and digital platforms to verify payments and conduct transactions to avoid physical bank queues. While the base pension is being distributed, there has been no official confirmation regarding the simultaneous deposit of the 'Bono contra la Guerra Económica' (Economic War Bonus) through the Patria System, though these payments often occur in close proximity.

Additionally, separate reports indicate that vacation bonuses for public health sector workers began being paid in mid-July 2026. For active health workers, the amount was set at 44,586.10 bolívares, roughly $61.43 USD, with payments being distributed progressively to different groups of medical and administrative staff.
