Massimo Margiotta appointed director of youth academy at AS Roma

Former Venezuelan international striker Massimo Margiotta has been confirmed as the new Director of Youth Academies for Italian club AS Roma. The contract runs until 2029 and includes an option to extend for two additional seasons. Margiotta, who played in Serie A for Perugia and Udinese, previously oversaw the youth sector at Hellas Verona from 2017 to 2026, where he was praised for building a comprehensive development project. In his first statement he said, “I feel very proud to accept this role and I am fully aware of the great responsibility it carries.” The club expects him to instill its values in the academy and help nurture the next generation of talent for the first team.
