Venezuela's 'Plan Venezuela Renace' advances housing repairs in Falcón
The regional authorities in Falcón inspected progress on rebuilding homes damaged by the extraordinary earthquake of 24 June. Governor Víctor Clark and the head of the Presidential Commission for Housing Evaluation, Francisco Garcés, reported that 698 homes were affected. Of these, 305 are deemed safe to occupy, 265 suffer minor structural or non‑structural damage and are undergoing repairs, and 128 remain uninhabitable. Seven construction brigades of the "Plan Venezuela Renace" are working on the rehabilitation, aiming to return families to safe, dignified housing and to develop comprehensive solutions for homes that suffered total loss. The effort follows the declaration of a state of emergency by interim president Delcy Rodríguez and follows a three‑stage response: emergency relief, damage assessment, and timely reconstruction.
