Venezuela's ruling PSUV seeks to strengthen ties with Vietnam
The ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) has expressed its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and multifaceted cooperation with the Communist Party of Vietnam (PCV).
During a meeting with outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador Vu Trung My in Caracas, PSUV Vice President Jesús Faría emphasized that the partnership between the two parties and nations is expected to expand. Faría praised Vietnam’s “Doi Moi” (Renovation) process, describing the country as a successful model for national construction, socioeconomic progress, and party development. He noted that Vietnam serves as an inspiration for nations seeking independence, sovereignty, and social progress.
Faría also extended congratulations to Vietnamese President and PCV General Secretary To Lam on behalf of PSUV Secretary General Diosdado Cabello. Additionally, the Venezuelan official expressed gratitude for Vietnam’s international solidarity, specifically citing the deployment of a rescue team to assist Venezuela following recent earthquakes.
