Venice celebrates traditional Feast of San Rocco

Venice recently held its traditional celebrations for the Feast of San Rocco. Promoted by the Scuola Grande Arciconfraternita di San Rocco, the event combined religious ceremonies with the presentation of the San Rocco Prize 2026.

The award was presented to the Fondazione Città della Speranza, recognizing the organization's contributions to solidarity and research. The festivities included a traditional procession from the Scuola Grande to the Church of San Rocco, followed by a Mass presided over by Monsignor Giampaolo Crepaldi, the Archbishop Emeritus of Trieste.

The event was attended by various civil, religious, and military authorities, including Giovanni Giusto, the municipal councilor for the Protection of Traditions. The celebration serves to maintain the city's historical roots and religious heritage.
