Venice expands culinary offerings with new restaurant openings

Venice's culinary scene is expanding with new dining establishments focusing on tradition and technical precision.

“Da Grandma” has opened in the heart of the lagoon, offering a modern interpretation of the traditional Italian trattoria. Guided by the consultancy of chef Riccardo Pepe, the restaurant emphasizes seasonal ingredients and family recipes. The menu features handmade pasta and classic dishes such as Panzanella and eggplant parmigiana. The venue includes 40 indoor seats and an outdoor courtyard with an additional 40 seats.

Additionally, the restaurant “Da Lorenzo – Al Giardino Segreto,” located within the NH Collection Venezia Grand Hotel Palazzo dei Dogi, features a menu signed by Paulo Airaudo. Chef Salvatore Paladino executes the vision, blending Mediterranean influences with Japanese techniques learned through his collaboration with Airaudo. The culinary approach focuses on technical precision and the integration of seasonal, plant-based elements.
