Venice International Film Festival announces 83rd edition details

The 83rd Venice International Film Festival, scheduled for September 2–12, 2026, features a diverse program including official competitions, the Venice Open section, and specialized masterclasses.

Masterclasses at the Match Point Arena will include prominent figures such as George Clooney, Ellen Burstyn, Luc Besson, Luca Guadagnino, Chloé Zhao, and Lukasz Zal. Additionally, the Venice Open section will showcase works by directors like Giovanni Veronesi, Gianni Amelio, and Paul Schrader, with Veronesi’s ‘Dio ride’ set to close the festival.

The festival also includes the documentary ‘Naza’ by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, which examines the Israeli military's actions in Gaza.
