Venice Film Festival features documentaries on animal welfare and feminism

Several documentary films were highlighted during the Venice International Film Festival.

The documentary ‘Rinascita Elfica’, created by Sonia Bianchera and Simona Bianchera, was presented and awarded at the Sala della Regione del Veneto. The film focuses on animal welfare, empathy, and the protection of life, aiming to serve as an educational tool to promote respect for both humans and animals. It previously won the Best Episodic Documentary award at the Film Festival CVV.

Additionally, director Francesca Archibugi presented ‘Carla Lonzi- Dentro e fuori dal mondo’ within the Venice Days – Special Events section. The documentary explores the life of the influential Italian feminist, philosopher, and art critic Carla Lonzi. Utilizing unpublished archival material, photographs, and diaries, the film provides an intimate look at Lonzi’s personal history and her philosophical contributions to feminism.
