Venice Film Festival opens with Danny Boyle’s Ink

The 83rd Venice Film Festival has commenced, opening with the film ‘Ink’ directed by Danny Boyle. The film stars Jack O’Connell, Guy Pearce, and Claire Foy, and explores the intersection of journalism, entertainment, and the evolution of information in the social media era.

The festival's competition lineup features several notable titles and directors, including Florian Zeller’s ‘Bunker’, Martin McDonagh’s ‘Wild Horse Nine’, and works by Luca Guadagnino, Paul Schrader, and Wim Wenders. Paul Schrader’s ‘The Basics of Philosophy’ is featured in the out-of-competition section, described as an introspective character study.
