Venice Film Festival to screen restored Tinto Brass film

As part of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, the restored film ‘Col cuore in gol’ by director Tinto Brass will be screened on September 1. The screening is scheduled for the Sala Darsena as an independent event within the Venice Classics section.

Alberto Barbera, the festival's artistic director, has highlighted the restoration of Brass's work, which includes the 1967 film starring Jean-Louis Trintignant and Ewa Aulin. The project serves as an institutional recognition of Brass's provocative cinematic history. The festival's official opening ceremony will instead feature Danny Boyle's new film on September 2.
