Venice Film Festival: traffic changes and program details

Preparations are underway for the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, scheduled to take place from September 2 to 12. To facilitate the setup and dismantling of temporary structures, the Venice Local Police have announced new traffic regulations for the Lido area.

Specific restrictions will affect Lungomare Marconi, via A. Emo, via Lamberti, and the area near the Tennis Club Venezia. On selected dates in August and September, portions of the roadway and sidewalk near the Tennis Club will be restricted to allow for loading and unloading operations. During these times, La Biennale di Venezia will implement temporary traffic lights to manage flow, though authorities guarantee a minimum lane width of 3.80 meters to ensure continued vehicle and pedestrian access, as well as emergency services.

The festival program features a diverse lineup including international titles, Italian cinema, and documentaries. Notable films mentioned include ‘The Echo Chamber’ starring Luca Marinelli and Alicia Vikander, Paolo Strippoli’s thriller ‘L’estranea’, and ‘Wild Horse Nine’.
