Venice launches joint patrols with Polish Police
Italian Carabinieri and officers from the Polish National Police have launched joint patrols in Venice to enhance security and assist tourists. The initiative, which began on August 17, focuses on high-traffic areas including the Santa Lucia railway station, public transport hubs, Piazza San Marco, and the Rialto Bridge.
Beyond increasing surveillance, the collaboration aims to facilitate information exchange and provide linguistic support to foreign visitors. Polish officers will specifically assist Polish-speaking tourists and help coordinate communication between citizens and local authorities or diplomatic services.
