Venice official visits elderly residents and care staff

Ermelinda Damiano, the assessor for social cohesion, visited elderly residents and staff at care facilities in Venice, Mestre, and Gazzera on the eve of Ferragosto.

The visit aimed to demonstrate the city's support for the elderly and to thank healthcare workers for providing continuous assistance and care during the summer holidays. Damiano emphasized the importance of preventing loneliness by ensuring elderly residents remain fully integrated into the Venetian community.
