SDSM accuses Mickoski of political vendettas and poor spending
The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) has launched a series of sharp political attacks against Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski and the VMRO-DPMNE party, accusing them of prioritizing luxury and political vendettas over national interests.
Keti Sterjova, representing SDSM, accused the ruling party of conducting a five-year smear campaign against party leader Venko Filipce regarding the modular hospital in Tetovo. She stated that the hospitals were procured through World Bank procedures during a health crisis to save lives, not for profit, and denied that Filipce pressured judicial institutions.
Additionally, SDSM criticized the government for its spending priorities, alleging that while the state lacks funds for minimum wages and essential services like water in Gostivar, it is proceeding with the purchase of a new government aircraft. The opposition also claimed the government is attempting to stir ethnic tensions and relies on foreign media influence to maintain power, while failing to deliver results in the economy, agriculture, and healthcare.
