North Macedonia is observing the 85th anniversary of the October 11 National Uprising, a significant historical date marking the start of the anti-fascist struggle against occupation in 1941.
Various state officials, including President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Speaker Afrem Gashi, and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, issued messages emphasizing the values of freedom, dignity, and the responsibility of current generations to build a democratic and prosperous European state. Commemorative ceremonies, including flower-laying at monuments in Kumanovo and Prilep, were held to honor the fallen fighters.
