Venky Atluri's 'Vishwanath and Sons' set for August 2026 release starring Suriya

Director Venky Atluri confirmed that his bilingual film "Vishwanath and Sons" is slated for a worldwide release on 14 August 2026. The romantic‑comedy drama follows a 40‑year‑old pistol shooter, played by Suriya, whose life changes after meeting a young woman. The cast also includes Mamitha Baiju, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon, who returns to Tamil cinema after a 25‑year hiatus.

Atluri also spoke about a separate, still‑in‑development police drama with actor‑writer Dhanush, emphasizing the need for extensive research to ensure authenticity. He urged Bollywood actors to respect the Telugu film work culture, noting, "If I want to work in Hindi, I will take at least a three‑month break and study the set," and adding that crews often work "11–12 hours on the set."
