Venâncio Aires and Limeira schedule Independence Day parades

The municipality of Venâncio Aires in Rio Grande do Sul finalized preparations for its Semana da Pátria, selecting the theme “Venâncio Aires: nossa identidade, nosso futuro” and honoring the municipal Secretariat of Public Security and Civil Defense. The civic parade will open on September 1 and the main Independence Day procession is set for September 7 at 8 a.m., featuring a new format that interleaves schools and entities throughout the route.

In Limeira, São Paulo, organizers announced the 2026 Independence Day parade will run on September 7 at 8 a.m. along Dr. Trajano de Barros Camargo, under the theme “Bicentenário de Limeira: Celebrando nossa história, construindo o futuro.” Registrations for schools, entities, unions and other groups remain open until September 7, with rules prohibiting political‑party displays during the event.
