Venturelab partner discusses Swiss startup recognition

Jordi Montserrat, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Venturelab, discussed the evolution of the Top100 Swiss Startup Award in an interview. Launched in 2011, the award aimed to provide recognition to Swiss entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors whose economic and societal contributions were previously underrepresented in the public eye.

Since its inception, the initiative has expanded into a year-round platform featuring a magazine published in five languages, an Investor Summit, and an annual award ceremony. Montserrat noted that since 2011, 677 startups have been selected through the program, resulting in 112 exits and 11 companies going public.
