Venus and Roo, iconic cats with unique traits, pass away

Venus and Roo, two famous cats known globally for their unique physical characteristics, have passed away within nine days of each other after a 12-year friendship.

Venus was widely recognized for her striking facial coloration, which appeared divided between black and orange. Roo, often referred to as the ‘Kangaroo cat’ due to a congenital condition affecting his paws, gained popularity for overcoming past abuse and physical limitations.

The cats' owner, Christina, shared that Roo passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 15.5 following a decline in his quality of life. Venus died nine days later at the age of 17 after a battle with illness. The family chose to allow both animals to pass peacefully in a comfortable environment.
