Venus Travel launches multi-ferry plan for workation travelers
Venus Travel has announced the launch of the ‘Freeway Ferry Plan,’ a new travel product designed to support ‘workation’ and nomad work lifestyles. Starting September 1, 2026, the plan offers multi-ride tickets that allow travelers to combine routes from three different ferry companies: Shin Nihonkai Ferry, Tokyo Kyushu Ferry, and Hankyu Ferry.
The plan is designed for travelers who wish to move long distances across Japan with their own vehicles. To facilitate working while traveling, the package includes free ‘au Starlink Ferry Wi-Fi’ vouchers and multi-purpose coupons for onboard restaurants. Available routes cover areas from Hokkaido to Kyushu, including connections between Maizuru/Tsuruga and Otaru/Tomakomai, Niigata and Otaru, Yokosuka and Shin-Moji, and Shin-Moji to Kobe/Izumiotsu.
Customers can choose from ticket bundles of 4, 6, or 8 one-way trips, valid for a six-month period. The initiative aims to provide new options for working and living by transforming transit time into productive or restful time, while also contributing to regional revitalization.
