A letter of intent signed on September 9, 2026, outlines a collaboration where Veolia will develop customized energy concepts for potential investors, including connections to the municipal heating network and bespoke energy installations.

As part of its energy transformation, Veolia Term aims to transition to a multi-fuel system to ensure energy security and reduce dependence on specific fuel markets. The company has set a goal to completely phase out hard coal by 2033. This strategy is designed to provide stability against geopolitical shifts and potential gas supply disruptions.
