Veolia invests over 2.7 million euros in Elda water infrastructure

Veolia is executing four major infrastructure projects in Elda to renovate and improve the municipality's hydraulic network, with a total investment exceeding 2.7 million euros.

Two of the four projects have already been completed. The first involved diverting a pipe supplying the Campo Alto industrial estates to make room for a new fire station, replacing old fiber cement with more durable cast iron. The second project renovated a main water line on Avenida de los Eucaliptos, which supplies the San Francisco neighborhood and the eastern part of the town.

Two larger-scale works are currently underway and are expected to be finished by the end of the year. These include the redevelopment of Nueva and Ortega y Gasset streets in the old town, involving an investment of 841,395 euros to improve pedestrian spaces and water networks. The final and most expensive project, costing 1,642,611 euros, focuses on improving hydraulic infrastructure around El Salvador, Princesa, and Dr. Gregorio Marañón streets, replacing 40-year-old fiber cement pipes with cast iron and renewing sidewalks to improve accessibility.
