Ver-o-Natsu Matsuri festival debuts in Belém
The first edition of the Ver-o-Natsu Matsuri festival is taking place this weekend at the Porto Futuro Complex in Belém. The event aims to merge Japanese culture with Amazonian identity through various immersive activities.
Scheduled programming includes traditional Japanese elements such as taikô drumming, origami workshops, bonsai exhibitions, and the Bon Odori community dance. The festival also features pop culture attractions including K-pop performances, cosplay contests, and karaoke. Attendees can also observe traditional Japanese summer attire, known as yukatas, throughout the two-day event.
