Vera Holtz to reprise role as Lucinda in Avenida Brasil 2

Actress Vera Holtz will return to TV Globo to reprise her role as Lucinda in the upcoming sequel to the telenovela ‘Avenida Brasil’, titled ‘Avenida Brasil 2’. This marks her first appearance in a Globo soap opera since 2019.

Holtz will appear in a limited capacity at the beginning of the series. Her character, known as the ‘mother of the poor’ from the landfill, is set to die early in the plot after delivering a life lesson to the protagonist, Carminha, played by Adriana Esteves.

To accommodate Holtz’s busy theater schedule, TV Globo has adjusted its filming schedule. The production is written by João Emanuel Carneiro and directed by Ricardo Waddington. The sequel is scheduled to premiere on January 25, 2027. Other confirmed cast members include Murilo Benício, Letícia Isnard, Marcos Caruso, Eliane Giardini, Juliano Cazarré, and Cauã Reymond, who will return as Jorginho.
