Vera hosts first provincial buffalo festival in Santa Fe

The city of Vera, located in the Santa Fe province of Argentina, is hosting the First Provincial Buffalo Festival. Held at the Sociedad Rural de Vera from September 4 to 6, the event aims to boost buffalo production in the northern region of the province.

The festival brings together producers, professionals, and specialists to discuss the potential of the bubaline industry. Featured experts include veterinarians Claudio Martínez from INTA Garabato, María Eugenia Ruiz from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), and Antonio Baravalle.

Programming includes technical workshops on buffalo breeding, family business motivation, and tax planning for agricultural enterprises. The event also features livestock auctions and tastings of buffalo meat products, such as burgers and empanadas, to showcase the commercial possibilities of the sector. This initiative follows similar developments in the provinces of Misiones and Corrientes, reflecting the growing importance of buffalo farming in Argentina.
