Vera Paixão campaigns for Vilhena representation in Brasília

Vera Paixão, a candidate for federal deputy, is campaigning on the platform of securing dedicated political representation for Vilhena and the Cone Sul region in Brasília. She noted that despite a lack of formal support from local city councilors, who have instead aligned with candidates from other cities, she has found significant grassroots support among the local population.

Paixão argues that the absence of a representative specifically from the region has hindered the area's ability to secure federal investments. She estimates that Vilhena may have lost over R$1 billion in federal resources due to this lack of direct representation in the capital.
