Veracruz celebrates cultural traditions and economic initiatives

Veracruz has concluded its participation as the guest state in the 2026 Miquixtli Festival in Morelos. From October 29 to November 1, the state presented a diverse program of music, dance, gastronomy, and oral storytelling across several municipalities, including Cuernavaca and Tepoztlán. Key highlights included the Catrinas parades from Misantla and Naolinco, traditional dances such as the Guaguas and Quetzales, and various musical ensembles representing different regions of the state.

In the port of Veracruz, Governor Rocío Nahle García led the eighth Carnaval de Catrinas. The event featured over 1,200 participants in 31 contingents, showcasing regional traditions like Xantolo and the Huayacocotla carnival. This celebration served to highlight the state's cultural identity during Day of the Dead festivities.

On the economic front, the Secretariat of Economic and Port Development (Sedecop) announced the Veracruz Export Forum 2026. Scheduled for November 3 in Boca del Río, the forum aims to strengthen the presence of local companies in international markets through training and specialized orientation for producers and industrialists.
