Veracruz authorities sentence two men to over four years for trafficking nearly 10 kg of marijuana

The Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) in Mexico sentenced Francico "N" and Javier "N" to four years and two months in prison and imposed a fine of 9,390 pesos after they were arrested with 9.756 kg of marijuana in Coyutla, Veracruz. The drugs were found hidden in three sealed packages and three synthetic bags inside the vehicle they were traveling in. The arrest was carried out by the State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) in September 2025, and the case was processed by the Specialized Regional Control Prosecutor's Office (FECOR) before a federal control judge.

The FGR emphasized its commitment to investigating and prosecuting federal drug offenses and urged citizens to report crimes through its Veracruz office.
