The Veracruz State Congress has awarded Professor Gloria Sánchez Hernández the 2025 ‘Heberto Castillo Martínez’ Medal and Diploma. Sánchez Hernández was specifically recognized for her role as a founding chair at the Benemérita Escuela Normal Veracruzana. During the ceremony, Naomi Edith Gómez Santos, President of the Board of Directors, highlighted Sánchez Hernández’s long-standing connection to the principles of ethics, social conscience, and justice, noting her legacy as a researcher, educator, and legislator.
