Veracruz drug raid detains 35, seizes 427 doses across 21 municipalities
Coordinated security operations in 21 municipalities of Veracruz resulted in the detention of 35 people and the seizure of 427 doses of substances resembling various narcotics. The raids also recovered ten vehicles, numerous firearms, ammunition, and other equipment. Agencies involved included the State Public Security Secretariat, Navy, Defense, National Guard, the State Attorney General's Office and municipal police. Two individuals were released – one linked to a possible virtual kidnapping and another for alleged illegal deprivation of liberty. The seized drugs comprised crystal‑like substances, marijuana‑type material and other controlled‑substance equivalents, along with weapons and tactical gear.
All detained individuals, seized items and vehicles have been turned over to the competent authorities for further investigation.
