Veracruz featured at 37th International Anthropology and History Book Fair

Veracruz is the featured guest at the 37th International Anthropology and History Book Fair (FILAH), held at the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City. The event showcases the state's rich cultural, musical, and culinary heritage through various presentations, workshops, and musical performances.

Key activities include discussions on Afro-Antillean music in Veracruz, the influence of Afro-descendant communities on traditional cuisine, and the industrial architecture of the Orizaba region. Musical contributions feature the Xalapa Symphony Orchestra and the group Tlen Huicani, accompanying tenor Javier Camarena in an inaugural concert.

During the fair, the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) honored René Ramírez Ordoñez for his six decades of work preserving Veracruz's traditional clothing and folklore. Additionally, the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL) is participating with over 100 titles, offering works on art, literature, and research to the public.
