Veracruz government launches discounted testament month
The Government of Veracruz and the College of Notaries of the State of Veracruz have signed an agreement to launch the ‘Mes del Testamento’ (Testament Month) campaign during September and October. The initiative aims to promote estate planning and provide legal certainty to families within the state.
Starting September 1, the campaign will offer preferential rates for universal wills and those including up to three legacies. The general public can access these services for 1,500 pesos. Specific groups, including senior citizens, persons with disabilities, nursing staff, paramedics, and public safety personnel, are eligible for a reduced rate of 1,200 pesos. Additionally, vulnerable women will receive a further discount, bringing the cost to 1,000 pesos.
Governor Rocío Nahle García emphasized the importance of a culture of foresight to ensure family peace of mind. The program also includes free personalized legal advice, information sessions across various notary jurisdictions, and discounts on registration fees.
