Veracruz Governor inspects hospitals amid health concerns

Governor Rocío Nahle García has initiated a series of inspections across hospitals integrated into the IMSS-Bienestar system in Veracruz. The tour aims to personally verify the availability of medicines and medical supplies, moving beyond administrative reports to direct on-site assessment.

The state government has acknowledged previous shortages of medical supplies in certain units and has announced measures including redistribution, shipments from IMSS-Bienestar, and direct purchases to address these gaps.

In response to a measles outbreak detected at the State Cancerology Center in Xalapa, authorities have established a sanitary cordon and reinforced vaccination efforts. Local officials, including Mayor Daniela Griego, have been involved in managing the health response.
