Veracruz Governor's audit into Fondo del Futuro remains pending

Governor Rocío Nahle has yet to release the results of an exhaustive audit into the 'Fondo del Futuro' trust, following the resignation of administrator Ana Laura del Ángel five months ago. The audit was prompted by the detection of possible irregularities and negative balances within the organization, which is responsible for managing the Bruno Pagliai industrial city.

Local business owners have complained that maintenance fees are not being used to improve urban infrastructure. This issue led to an agreement between the Governor and Veracruz Mayor Rosa María Hernández Espejo to municipalize the industrial zone.

In a recent meeting between the Association of Business Owners of the Bruno Pagliai Industrial City and state finance officials, government representatives stated that the business owners must first settle all outstanding maintenance fees before receiving support for the municipalization process.
