Veracruz Museum to host Charrería cultural heritage event

The Veracruz Ministry of Culture, in partnership with the Union of Charro Associations of Veracruz, is hosting an event titled ‘La Charrería: Tradición Viva de México’ from September 11 to 13. The event will take place at the Museum of Art of the State of Veracruz in Orizaba.

Visitors can participate in free activities including discussions, charreada demonstrations, a photographic gallery, and an exhibition of traditional attire. Charrería, a Mexican equestrian and livestock tradition, was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016 and has been Mexico’s national sport since 1933.
