Veracruz reports $4.27 billion USD in active investment portfolio

The state of Veracruz has an active investment portfolio of $4.27 billion USD. Additionally, the 'Portafolio para la Prosperidad Compartida' includes 35 projects with a potential value of $11.485 billion USD, which is projected to create 241,000 new jobs for the region.

To facilitate these developments, the Secretariat of Economic and Port Development (Sedecop) has established the Investment Promotion Committee for the State of Veracruz. This permanent coordination body brings together state and federal authorities, the productive sector, and academia to streamline investments, resolve project needs, and provide joint solutions.

The diverse portfolio spans several sectors, including agriculture, agro-industry, manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, logistics, transport, and commerce. Participating federal institutions include the Ministry of Economy, Semarnat, Conagua, the Veracruz Customs office, the National Port System Administration of Veracruz, and the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
