Veracruz vehicle license plate delays cause issues in Córdoba

Citizens in Córdoba, Veracruz, are facing significant delays in obtaining license plates for foreign vehicles. One resident, Jorge Morales, reported that despite completing the necessary paperwork at the local Hacienda delegation since February, he has yet to receive his plates.

Morales noted that the lack of progress has forced him to pay approximately 580 pesos per month for temporary circulation permits to avoid legal issues. He also reported organizational difficulties at the office, including long lines of 200 to 300 people and instances where specialized staff were unavailable to process foreign vehicle documentation.

According to reports, officials have provided little explanation for the delay, stating only that they will notify citizens when plates become available.
