Veranda Mall marks 10 years with 75 million euro investment
Veranda Mall, Bucharest’s first proximity shopping center, has reached its 10-year milestone. Since its opening in 2016 on the former Prodplast site, the project has seen total investments exceeding 75 million euros, which includes urban infrastructure improvements such as widening Ziduri Moși street and upgrading local tram refuges and traffic signals.
Over the past decade, tenants at the mall have recorded cumulative sales of more than 750 million euros. The facility currently maintains an occupancy rate near 100% with approximately 130 tenants and 35,000 square meters of leasable space. Following a 10 million euro expansion in 2019, the mall added amenities including a 12-screen Cinemax cinema, a World Class Romania fitness center, and a Decathlon store.
Since its inception, the mall has welcomed approximately 90 million visitors. The center currently employs about 1,000 people daily.
