Veranos de la Villa festival announces seventh week of programming in Madrid

The 42nd edition of the Veranos de la Villa festival in Madrid is entering its seventh week, offering a diverse program of jazz, flamenco, theater, and cinema across various locations in the capital.

Musical highlights include a ‘Jazz Jam’ session led by Latin Grammy winner Iván ‘Melón’ Lewis at the Instituto San Isidro on August 18. On August 19, Opera Garage will present ‘Gitana,’ a performance blending opera, zarzuela, and popular song with flamenco.

The theatrical lineup at the Instituto San Isidro features Pepe Cibrián’s ‘Dos Tronos Dos Reinas,’ depicting the historical rivalry between Elizabeth I of England and Mary Stuart, followed by Aleix Martel’s musical piece ‘El Profesor’ on August 22 and 23.

Cinema programming continues with the final session of the ‘Cine Caliente’ cycle at Parque de la Bombilla on August 18, featuring the film ‘Lazos Ardientes’ accompanied by Laura del Val and a DJ set by Gianluca Bonanno.
